Christmas at the Castle

Step onto York Castle Museum’s world-famous recreated Victorian street, Kirkgate, where traditional garlands, a glistening Christmas tree and decorated shop windows will take you back in time to historic York.

See the beautifully dressed period rooms, meet our Victorian residents and discover the stories, festivities and traditions of Christmas past.

Enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pie while meeting up with fellow members or chatting with Visit York staff to find out what's happening in the city over Christmas and New Year.
